Indigo is a natural dye derived from the leaves of various plants found all over the world. It has been used for thousands of years across Asia, Europe, and South and Central America. In this workshop, we will discuss the basics of making indigo dye baths, how to grow and process your own indigo, and shibori tie-dye techniques. Participants will get a chance to dye their own protein or cellulose based items in prepared indigo baths and experiment with shibori tie-dye.
