Colour can be exciting and alluring but also confusing. It is part of everything we see, and we often take it for granted. In this workshop Patricia will give a presentation on colour theory that includes how we see and perceive colour and how it ‘behaves’. We will look at how to create various colour schemes, and get a feel for what works and what doesn’t. Participants will create a colour wheel and experiment with colour mixing, colour neutralization and colour arrangements. Participants should bring an examples of work that they have done where they felt the colour arrangement was successful, and if possible also one where they were less happy with the outcome. We will discuss these in relation to what we have learned about colour interaction.
